How does Moxie Shield 1800 Admixture work?

It eliminates capillary voids by creating insoluble solids in the void structure, making the concrete impermeable.

Why should I use Moxie Shield 1800 Admixture?

To achieve a water and vapor proof, impermeable, non-absorbent substrate in order to prevent contamination such as water, chlorides, acid, mold, etc. and subsequent degradation.

How does it affect the concrete pour process?

It acts as a pumping aid by lubricating the mix and lowering pumping pressure. Better workability. Example: 3” slump may have workability of 5” slump. Minimal effect on set time.

Does it make concrete more durable?

Yes. It densifies and resists cracks, surface scaling, salts, and acids, and enhances freeze/thaw durability.

What about cracking prevention?

Prevents ASR (Alkali Silica Reactivity) and plastic shrinkage cracking due to rapid evaporation.

Can it be used with color additives?

Yes. Compatible with color.
